At VIDLA, we’re just finishing our evaluation of the past year, and looking forward to the next. We’ve had an amazing year, welcoming many students from all over the world, and making a lot of new friends in the United States, including our esteemed Patron, Dena Murray, the wonderful folks from The Vocalist Studio – especially Robert Lunte – and also Jeannie Deva and a host of other great vocal coaches.
A special new connection in the UK has been with our good friends at Vocal-Care.com, and we would like to thank Paul Eastwood (CEO of the company) for his ongoing and complete support of VIDLA. We love the Vocal-Care products, and are looking forward to a long and successful relationship with the folks at this great company. We have also developed a great working partnership with VocalTutor, which promises to go from strength to strength.
The last year has also seen success in achieving full accreditation with the IADL. We’ve also taken on the some great Personal Tutors, the most recent of whom is a genuine, bona fide West End star!
Our students have done extremely well too, with more signing up than ever before, and achieving great results. We also launched The Vidla Network, which is our invitation-only networking and communications centre for students, staff and professional practioners. We continue to recommend that all of our students, staff and colleagues sign up to the internet’s very best contemporary vocals networking site, the modern vocalist.
The coming year brings some exciting new developments, including the launch of a range of short distance-learning courses, and the development of Vocalist International in-person training, starting with VI-Worcester, offering weekend and week-long intensives in The Faithful City, with courses led by VIDLA Principal Ria Keen and Senior Tutor Cordelia Flynn. We can’t wait!
Congratulations to all who have received their beautiful VIDLA certificate this year. The 2009 – 2010 year should be even more exciting than the one that’s just past!
