The Master Himself, otherwise known as John Owen Jones, musical theatre star, VIDLA Patron and all round one-man talent-fest, has a new album out and we recommend that you do your ears a favour and get yourself a copy!
John’s performances as The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera and Jean Valjean in Les Miserables have been described as “…one of the great emotional highlights of 20th century theatre” (Michael Coveney, The Independent), and having seen the great man in action on several occasions, we’re not about to disagree!
The track list is going to please his fans, overflowing as it is with some great musical theatre tunes, including a new recording of Music of the Night, plus This Is The Moment, which he recently performed to rapturous reception on Friday Night is Music Night, and the song that has become John’s signature tune, Bring Him Home – but it also features some great songs from other genres, including Hallelujah, Thunderball and Nature Boy.
The album is officially released on April 16th, but is available to pre-order on Amazon – just click here!
John is currently on tour playing The Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary tour.
